Cranberry Growers Grow Green
Cranberry growers are making a valid effort to go green across the state of Wisconsin. As expressed in the below article, not only do these sustainability practices benefit the land and it's inhabitants, but also conserves environmental and financial resources thus providing the next generation of cranberry growers more economic stability.
“In an effort to sustainably manage their marshes, Wisconsin cranberry growers really stepped up to the plate to go above and beyond what is necessary for a sustainable crop,” said Tom Lochner, executive director of WSCGA. “That’s a great result for the NRCS to see from such an important crop in our state’s history, economy and environment.”
