To prepare Cranberry Syrup: Rinse cranberries and drain off excess water. Combine all other ingredients into a pot and bring to a rapid boil, simmer for 10 minutes and remove from heat. Let set for 10 minutes. Immediately strain out solid materials. Reserve syrup for cocktail.
Cocktail Preparation: Measure all ingredients except for the sparkling white wine into a mixing tin. Shake until all ingredients are well chilled. On the bottom of a chilled rocks glass with ice, pour sparkling white wine. Strain cocktail on top of sparkling wine. Squeeze orange oil on top of drink and garnish with peel
