Cranberry Sauce French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8.5 oz baguette (1 day old)
  • 2 M-sized eggs
  • 3 oz milk
  • 1 package vanilla sugar
  • 5 oz milk
  • 5 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar (to sprinkle)
  • For the cranberry sauce:
  • 4 Tbsp cranberry jam
  • 1-2 Tbsp cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • Grated lime peel and lime juice (organic lime)

Directions

  • Cut the baguette into thick slices. Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla sugar in a deep dish and dip the baguette slices in the mixture until fully coated. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and cook the baguette slices on each side until golden brown.
  • For the sauce, combine all the ingredients in a small pot and boil. Sprinkle the french toast with brown sugar and serve with the sauce.
